I'm a Houston-based writer and former professional pastry chef. After graduating from the University of North Texas, I moved to New York City for culinary school and began an internship at Saveur Magazine, my first step toward a copywriting career.

I eventually moved back to Texas and began writing promoted content for book publishers, local and national magazines, and digital media. I joined CultureMap in 2016 and serve as a Senior Copywriter focused on promoted content.

In my hard-to-find spare time, I love to read, watch soccer (go Dynamo!), and cook. I volunteer and foster with a local dog rescue, which is the hardest and most rewarding work I've ever done. I'm a lifelong book nerd, wine enthusiast, and proud (boy and dog) mom.
